Howdy! I'm
Jack Featherstone
Physicist - Programmer
Physics
I am a graduate student in physics at the Okinawa Institute for Science and Technology! I generally study non-linear and complex systems, especially in the context of soft matter and granular physics.
Programming
On top of my work as a physicist, I often work on side projects like a fancy todo list, color blindness simulator, and quantum variational solver. These projects span several languages, including Python, C++, Java, Go, and Matlab, and I've also written a few tutorials on how to make specific programs.
#SketchYourScience
Per #SketchYourScience (specifically, Irene Crisologo) I also draw sketches of various scientific concepts and other fun things to include in my research presentations, display on this site, or do whatever else with!
